Forwarding Service Requested

The "Forwarding Service Requested" endorsement instructs the USPS to forward mail to the recipient's new address if they have filed a change-of-address. It also provides options for handling undeliverable mail.

How it works:

  • Forwarding: If the recipient has a change-of-address on file, the USPS will forward the mailpiece to their new address. You will be charged the applicable forwarding fee.
  • Return: If the mailpiece cannot be forwarded (e.g., the forwarding order has expired or no new address is on file), it will be returned to you with an indication of the reason for non-delivery. You will be charged the appropriate return fee.
  • Address notification: In some cases, the return mailpiece will include the recipient's new address. This allows you to update your records.

Fee Summary:

undefined

Details can be found here: USPS.

Important: per USPS Move Update requirements, your use of ancillary endorsements obligates you to update address records with all changes that you receive back from USPS.
