While individual EDDM® mailpieces aren't tracked by the IMb barcode, they can be tracked up to the point of receipt by the delivering post office. This is done by tracking the Priority Mail© label number.
If you have recently submitted an EDDM® mailing, you may have received a Priority Mail© tracking number. To determine when your EDDM® mail is delivered to the delivery post office or “Opening Unit”, click on the link in your account or go to https://www.usps.com/ to track your mailing using the Priority Mail© tracking label number.
The average delivery time for EDDM is 7-14 days. However, the actual delivery time may vary depending on a number of factors, including:
- The time of year: EDDM mail is typically delivered more quickly during the off-peak season, such as in the summer or winter.
- The location of the delivery route: Mail that is delivered to rural areas may take longer to deliver than mail that is delivered to urban areas.
- The volume of mail: If there is a lot of mail to be delivered in a particular area, it may take longer for the mail to be delivered.
