There are certain fonts that are better for printed direct mail pieces. These fonts are known as "serif" fonts. Serif fonts have feet on the bottom of the letters. The feet on the bottom of the letters prompt the eye to move to the next letter. Serif fonts include: Times New Roman, courier, georgia, times, For web marketing, "sans serif" fonts are preferred because different monitors and resolutions can impact the clarity of those feet.
